Make Your Own Foaming Hand Soap

DIY’ing your own hand soap is quick and simple! All it takes is a few ingredients and you’ll have enough to make tons of batches to ensure you never run out. Not to mention, if there were ever a time to get started making your own household supplies, this year is it.

I find doing a foaming soap works best and found a pack of foaming soap dispensers on Amazon. You could also purchase a foaming soap from the store, use it, then use the bottle to remake your own. The base of the soap is castile soap–I prefer Dr. Bronner’s Unscented variety. I add a little coconut oil for moisturizing, essential oil(s) for scent and top it all off with filtered water. Feel free to experiment with different essential oils–I used lemon this time for a nice, clean kitchen hand soap. Enjoy!

Depending on jar size, fill about 1/4 of the way up with Castile Soap. For my jar, I used about 1/2 C. Add 1-2 TBSP of Coconut Oil. Add in 10-15 drops essential oil(s) of choice. Top off with Filtered Water. Screw on top and gently shake to combine. All done!
